Kwahu Business Forum to boost Ghanaian entrepreneurship – Julius Debrah

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has emphasized the importance of the Kwahu Business Forum. This initiative aims to boost entrepreneurship and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana.

In an interview with Citi News, Debrah discussed President Mahama's vision. He stressed the need to unlock Ghana's entrepreneurial potential. There are many opportunities within the West African subregion.

The forum is scheduled for Saturday, April 19. It will help Ghanaian businesses reach markets in Burkina Faso and Mali. "The objective of this Kwahu Business Forum is to grow businesses," Debrah stated.

He added that this initiative aligns with the President's goal. The aim is to develop more Ghanaian-owned SMEs focused on export and manufacturing.

Debrah clarified that the government won't directly establish factories or industries. However, it will provide support for the private sector to thrive. The forum will allow private participants, especially SMEs, to collaborate on growth strategies.

This year's Kwahu Business Forum builds on last year's success. Financial institutions and investor banks have been invited to participate. Many managing directors and chief executives will attend personally.

These leaders will present products and services beneficial for SMEs. An exhibition will showcase offerings from various banks as well.

Debrah expressed optimism about the forum's potential impact. He believes it reflects President Mahama's commitment to entrepreneurship and economic growth. "During my tenure as president, I was able to help develop businesses that champion export and manufacturing," he remarked.
