Kwakye Ofosu should be sacked - Afenyo-Markin

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, wants Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu dismissed.

He spoke to the media after National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) agents visited Rev Ntim Fordjour's home. They were there to execute an arrest warrant for the Assin South MP.

Afenyo-Markin accused Kwakye Ofosu of undermining President John Mahama’s authority. This was in light of recent drug-related allegations.

He criticized Kwakye Ofosu for dismissing calls for investigations into illicit drug dealings.

According to Afenyo-Markin, instead of supporting the President's directive, Kwakye Ofosu arrogantly questioned the credibility of the allegations. He called this behavior “bizarre” and disrespectful to the President's office.

Afenyo-Markin argued that these actions weaken the President's authority.

He praised the President for calling for a collaborative investigation. However, he condemned Kwakye Ofosu for acting against this directive.

Afenyo-Markin stated that Kwakye Ofosu must be sacked for undermining the President’s position.
