Kwame Jantuah slams NPP’s Justin Kodua over comments on Kumi’s arrest

Legal practitioner Kwame Jantuah has criticized NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong. He called Kodua's response to the arrest of Alfred Kumi “immature.”

Jantuah spoke on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey. He disagreed with Kodua’s suggestion for party supporters to gather at Kumi’s home. He urged a more responsible approach instead.

“That advice is immature,” Jantuah said. He suggested that supporters should meet Kumi where he was taken, not at his house. “You don’t have the power to stop that kind of thing,” he added.

He emphasized the importance of legal representation for Kumi. Supporters should focus on getting lawyers rather than gathering chaotically.

Jantuah questioned why national security, not police, arrested Kumi. “Is this not a national security issue?” he asked.

He expressed concerns about the arrest method but disapproved of the party leadership's reaction. “We have laws in this country,” he stated. A political party cannot act unruly, and he believes they have been unruly in this case.
