The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has named Kwame Ntow Amoah as its new Acting Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Edward Abambire Bawa, who moves to GOIL as Managing Director and Group CEO.
Amoah, previously GNPC’s Deputy CEO and an Advisor to the Energy Minister, has played a key role in shaping Ghana’s petroleum sector.
He was instrumental in Ghana’s victory in the 2017 Maritime Boundary Case and helped secure nearly $7 billion in investment for the Sankofa Oil and Gas Project.
With an MBA from IMD, Switzerland, and a background in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Amoah brings extensive expertise.
GNPC expressed confidence in his leadership, stating he will drive the Corporation’s strategic vision and strengthen Ghana’s oil and gas industry.
