A fire outbreak at the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools early this morning has sparked alarm, as the facility housed ballot boxes from the Ablekuma North constituency.
The blaze, which started around 1:40 a.m. in the school’s library, has prompted investigations to determine the cause, according to Alex King Nartey, PRO of the Fire Service.
Adding to the intrigue, additional burned ballot papers were discovered outside the school premises, fueling speculation about the incident’s circumstances.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire after two hours, salvaging nearby buildings and preventing further spread.
However, the flames are not yet fully extinguished.
Authorities are piecing together the sequence of events and assessing damage to the election materials amid growing public concern.
