The chiefs and elders of Kwawu Obo have issued a one-month ultimatum to Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi and Minister of Agriculture, to address growing tensions over a farmland dispute.
Farmers claim the land was sold to him by the chiefs, a claim the chiefs deny.
Security personnel allegedly blocking farming activities have fueled suspicions.
At a press conference, Kontihene Okofo Ampadu Kyeamire urged Dr. Acheampong to clarify the matter, citing threats from farmers.
He warned that failure to act could lead the chiefs to "advise themselves," reflecting the community's frustration and demand for an immediate resolution.
