Security expert Dr. Kwesi Aning has expressed deep concern over how some Members of Parliament manage classified security information.
His remarks, made on JoyNews’ Newsfile, follow controversial claims by Assin South MP Rev. John Ntim Fordjour about two suspicious flights from Ghana to Gran Canaria—allegedly involving cash and illicit substances.
Dr. Aning emphasized that MPs, especially those with security roles like the Ranking Member on the Defense and Interior Committee, must exercise caution and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.
He warned against politicizing national security issues and called for a more mature approach to such conversations.
Meanwhile, Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu rejected the allegations as unfounded, confirming the flights took place but stating there is no evidence of drug trafficking or money laundering tied to the aircraft.
