Former NDC MP Ras Mubarak has criticized veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt. He accused Pratt of hypocrisy and entitlement regarding government jobs.
Mubarak's comments came after Pratt criticized the NDC’s governance. He pointed out that Pratt benefits from the same system he criticizes.
Mubarak emphasized that the current NDC administration includes more non-party members than before. “This government recognizes more neutrals and non-NDC members,” he stated.
He questioned why Pratt and his family receive government privileges without supporting the party. Mubarak specifically mentioned an ambassadorial appointment linked to Pratt’s daughter, Ama Pratt.
He argued that many dedicated NDC members deserve such positions instead. “What’s the noise about? Ambassadorial appointments at the expense of party members?” he asked.
Mubarak expressed frustration over what he sees as double standards from Pratt. Despite receiving benefits, he suggested that Pratt still criticizes the NDC.
“Does he know how many qualified party members could do a better job than Ama?” Mubarak asked. He clarified that his criticism was not personal, saying, “I’m sorry Ama, you are a nice person.” However, he found Mr. Pratt's hypocrisy to be "nauseating."
