LaDMA to prosecute residents engaged in open defecation - Coordinating Director

Daniel Nkrumah is the Coordinating Director of the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA). He has warned residents against open defecation, especially at La beach. Those caught will face legal action.

“No one will be spared,” Mr. Nkrumah stated. “If you are caught defecating openly along La Beach or anywhere in the municipality, you will be punished.”

He spoke during the inauguration of a new Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facility at Kowe-Jorna on Thursday. Mr. Nkrumah announced that a sanitation task force would soon be formed. This task force will monitor and patrol the beach and other areas.

The task force will operate both day and night. Anyone caught defecating openly will be prosecuted at the La Sanitation Court.
