The Minister of Labour, Jobs and Employment, Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has assured Ghanaian workers that the long-awaited Labour Bill and Occupational Safety and Health Bill will be prioritized to enhance workplace safety and social protection.
Dr Pelpuo, who is also the MP for Wa Central, emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening dispute resolution, collective bargaining, and social dialogue to maintain industrial harmony.
Speaking on his first day in office, he pledged to build the ministry’s capacity and urged staff to uphold neutrality and professionalism in their work.
He reaffirmed the government's dedication to creating decent jobs, improving livelihoods, and boosting economic growth through strengthened labour policies.
