Lack of SHS boarding facilities forcing students to stay with boyfriends

The headmistress of Chemu Senior High School has raised concerns about student challenges.

Vicentia Annin-Agyei noted the lack of infrastructure at the school.

Many students commute from home but struggle with housing issues.

Some are forced to rent nearby just to attend classes.

This situation creates additional challenges for them.

She mentioned that some students live with their boyfriends or girlfriends.

These living arrangements are not always by choice, she explained.

"Some are compelled by circumstances," she said.

The headmistress emphasized ongoing struggles due to inadequate facilities.

"As a transitional school, not all year groups are in school at once," she stated.

One year group is always out while two groups attend classes.

This setup is necessary because there aren't enough facilities for everyone.

She urged action to improve infrastructure and help students.

"We need to address these issues first," Mrs. Annin-Agyei concluded.
