Italy has appointed Laura Ranalli as its new Ambassador to Ghana, succeeding Daniela d'Orlandi.
Ambassador Ranalli, born in Avezzano, Italy, boasts a diplomatic career spanning over 20 years.
A graduate of Rome’s La Sapienza University with honors in Classical Philology, she further specialized in International Relations. Her career highlights include roles in Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, postings in Warsaw and Vilnius, and leadership in European and African relations.
In 2019, she received the Knighthood of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Her expertise in European and African affairs positions her to strengthen Ghana-Italy ties, fostering collaboration in trade, culture, and development.
Ambassador Ranalli is married to Polish poet Piotr Kępiński.
