Let’s behave like we believe we can win back power in 2028 – Akufo-Addo rallies NPP

Former President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has a message for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He believes they can win back power in 2028.

He urged the party to stop dwelling on their 2024 defeat. Instead, they should focus on rebuilding for the future.

“Political parties win or lose elections,” he said. “Yes, we have lost an election. But I know we can come back.”

He encouraged party members to stop feeling sorry for themselves. They need to reorganize and move forward as one unit.

Akufo-Addo spoke during a meeting with constituency organisers in Greater Accra Region at his home. The organisers expressed their desire for clearer roles defined in the NPP Constitution. They want this included in proposed amendments.
