Let’s embrace positive lessons of June 4 – Fifi Kwetey urges Ghanaians

Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, General Secretary of the NDC, spoke about the June 4 uprising. He urged Ghanaians to reflect on its positive lessons. He called it a pivotal moment in Ghana's history.

Mr. Kwetey spoke at the 46th anniversary celebration at Agormanya Lasi Park. He emphasized learning from the past for a better future. “Ghana must come to terms with June 4,” he said.

He noted that the uprising taught us not to rush into actions. He quoted, “Be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to act.”

Kwetey encouraged NDC members and the public to rise above politics. He stressed focusing on a national reset beyond political divides.

“This is a clarion call,” he stated, urging unity rather than blame. He added that both major parties need to elevate their standards.

Mr. Kwetey believes June 4 should inspire a transformative agenda for all Ghanaians. This agenda should reflect everyone's aspirations, regardless of political affiliation.
