Let’s all rise and rebuild for 2028 victory – Bawumia tells NPP supporters

Former Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the 2024 NPP flagbearer. He urged party supporters to unite for the 2028 elections.

On May 8, he spoke in the Volta Region during the NPP’s ‘Thank You Tour.’ He called for a strong and focused campaign. The work done now will shape the party's future success.

“Let us all rise and rebuild together,” Bawumia said. “Victory in 2028 is not a dream but a mission.” He emphasized that they have talent, ideas, and resolve.

Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the party's defeat in 2024. He encouraged supporters to move past disappointment. They should focus on revitalizing party structures at all levels.

“We did not achieve our desired result, but that is behind us,” he stated. “What matters is how we strengthen our party’s structures.”

He highlighted the need to rebuild grassroots presence. This includes strengthening regional executives and recruiting new volunteers. “Everyone has a role to play in restoring confidence among Ghanaians,” he added.

Dr. Bawumia also noted the strategic importance of the Volta Region. Traditionally an opposition stronghold, it offers opportunities for trust-building through engagement.

“This region is ripe for transformation,” he remarked. By addressing local concerns and fulfilling promises, they can earn community trust.
