Manhyia South MP, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has proposed halting all legislative work in Parliament if NDC MPs believe the ongoing bills are irrelevant after the election results.
He responded to North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa's claim that the NPP was completely rejected by Ghanaians, suggesting that current parliamentary discussions should be dismissed.
Prempeh argued that Parliament still has important issues, such as social protection and environmental bills, to address.
However, he acknowledged that if the NDC is unwilling to engage, the government could start fresh and prioritize its "resetting agenda."
He suggested that Parliament focus on limited, essential matters and then wrap up its work.
