Let's work to create our own AI modules— Misbawu Abdulai to gov't

Misbawu Abdulai, President of Africa Youth in AI, has made a strong appeal. He urged the Ghanaian government to create Artificial Intelligence (AI) modules for the country’s needs.

In an interview with Emmanuel Akomene Acheampong on Good Morning Taadi, he discussed AI's potential. Abdulai believes AI can drive innovation and economic growth in Ghana.

He stated that developing AI modules would help Ghana utilize AI's transformative power. This could enhance productivity and competitiveness across various industries.

Abdulai stressed the need for tailored AI solutions to tackle challenges in education, healthcare, and agriculture. "With the right investment and support, Ghana can become an AI hub," he said.

He emphasized that collaboration with stakeholders is essential. This partnership can unlock AI's full potential, leading to job creation and improved living standards.

However, Abdulai warned about responsible development of AI. "We must ensure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands," he cautioned.

He called for robust frameworks to regulate AI development. These measures would protect against misuse and safeguard public interest.

Developing local expertise in AI will position Ghana as a regional leader in innovation. As the country explores technology, Abdulai’s statement highlights AI's growing importance for future work and development.

His words remind us that collaboration and responsible practices are vital. With collective effort, Ghana can harness AI for sustainable development and a brighter future for its citizens.
