The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs has announced the postponement of the National Sanitation Day launch, originally set for Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
The nationwide clean-up exercise planned for April 5, 2025, has also been rescheduled.
The delay was attributed to the need for further stakeholder consultations and preparatory work to ensure a well-coordinated and inclusive initiative.
While the Ministry expressed regret for any inconvenience, it reaffirmed its commitment to improving public health and environmental cleanliness.
A new date for the launch and clean-up will be communicated later, with a call for continued public support in maintaining a clean, healthy environment.
