Localising natural resources exploration mgt:  Framework out soon  - Pres Mahama

The government will create a local framework for natural resource management. President John Dramani Mahama announced this plan recently.

This decision follows the expiration of Goldfields’ Damang mines deal. The government chose not to renew the 30-year lease.

During a four-day ministerial retreat in Ada, President Mahama spoke about local involvement. He emphasized that local participation is essential to prevent capital flight.

President Mahama believes these measures will help develop mining communities. They aim to raise resources for these areas effectively.
