MP Dumelo notes Okponglo traffic lights functioning now, hopes they stay on after 'last couple of months' repairs

Ayawaso West Wuogon MP John Dumelo has good news.

He announced that the faulty Okponglo-Legon traffic lights are now working again.

“This evening, around 7:30 or 8:00, the traffic lights have finally been fixed,” he said while looking into a camera.

Dumelo recently won the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in 2024. He ended the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 24-year hold on this position. He thanked Lydia Alhassan for her service as well.

He expressed gratitude to the Department of Urban Roads and the contractors involved in fixing the lights.

Dumelo also acknowledged everyone who uses this road. This road connects major areas like the University of Ghana, East Legon, Atomic, and Madina.

“Thank you for your patience,” he said. He hopes these lights will stay on for a long time.

In conclusion, Dumelo flashed a peace sign and reiterated his commitment to serve his constituents. He repeated his pledge, “I dey for you,” meaning “I’m here for you.”
