The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, is determined to punish those who made the "daughter of a murderer" comment. He announced this during his opening remarks at the second convention of the ninth parliament.
Bagbin expressed disappointment that majority members could not identify the individuals responsible. He noted that no MP has claimed responsibility weeks after the incident. The Speaker stated he will not let this matter go unnoticed.
Meanwhile, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga highlighted the government's achievements over the last five months. He mentioned these successes have inspired former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Ayariga also pointed out key corruption issues from the previous administration. He plans to bring these matters up in parliament for thorough investigations.
