A video featuring a top MTN Ghana executive has gone viral. Faisal Ali, the Channel Development Manager of Mobile Money Limited, spoke on UTV. He addressed recent cases of mobile money fraud affecting customers.

Ali urged MTN users to protect their MoMo wallet PIN codes. He emphasized that the PIN is like a signature for their accounts.

If someone contacts you about your mobile money wallet, he advised caution. Direct such callers to the MTN customer care center for verification. You can also call 100 yourself to confirm any information.

A young woman recently shared her experience with mobile money fraud. She claimed almost GH¢12,000 was withdrawn from her account without her consent. After receiving an alert on April 13, she reported it to MTN.

MTN Ghana announced they are investigating a data breach with cybersecurity experts. The video of the young woman’s story gained over 200 likes on TikTok.
