Mahama’s intolerance a dent on our democracy- Ntim Fordjour

Rev. Ntim Fordjour, the ranking member of the Defence and Interior Committee, has criticized the John Dramani Mahama administration.

He claims that during Nana Akufo-Addo's eight years in office, no MP faced harassment for calling for investigations.

Fordjour stated, “In President Akufo-Addo’s leadership, no opposition MP was harassed by state security.” He noted that all criticisms and demands for probes were handled without threats.

He believes the government's actions harm Ghana's democratic reputation and need attention.

Fordjour added, “The intolerance shown by President Mahama is unprecedented. This is a major setback for our democracy.” He emphasized that this situation goes beyond mere silence; truth will always prevail.

Yesterday, former President Nana Akufo-Addo called Fordjour to express his support after an incident at Fordjour's home. The home was invaded without a warrant by individuals allegedly sent by the government due to his statements on important issues.
