Mahama’s strong ‘fundamentals’ driving cedi gains – Tetteh Nyarko

Bismark Tetteh Nyarko is the Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo. He credits Ghana’s stable cedi to strong economic fundamentals. These were established by President John Mahama and Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

Nyarko spoke about the cedi's performance on Channel One Newsroom on May 25. He said, “The cedi is doing pretty well.” He noted that strong fundamentals lead to a strong cedi.

He praised the prudent economic policies under Mahama’s leadership. Nyarko also mentioned the importance of stabilisation strategies in this success.

Additionally, he highlighted the recent passage of the GoldBod legislation. This law has significantly contributed to the cedi's stability. Nyarko expects more positive outcomes in the coming year as a result.
