Mahama announces National Cathedral audit findings due this month

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to fighting corruption. He announced plans for an independent audit of the National Cathedral project. This project was initiated under the previous Akufo-Addo administration.

In a national address on May 7, Mahama shared that Deloitte & Touche will conduct the audit. He expects their report by the end of May.

“The war against corruption continues unabated,” he stated. He emphasized that Deloitte and Touche is examining the National Cathedral project.

Additionally, investigations are ongoing into other significant government projects. This includes the organization of the 13th African Games.

Mahama confirmed that several officials have been questioned about these games. These actions are part of his broader commitment to transparency and accountability. He promised these measures during his campaign and continues to support them in office.
