Mahama appoints Abass-Adams Nurudeen as Acting CEO of Social Investment Fund

President John Mahama has appointed Abass-Adams Nurudeen, the Ashanti Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Social Investment Fund.

The appointment, announced in a statement by the Secretary to the President on January 24, 2025, was made under Article 195 (1) of the Constitution.

It is subject to advice from the Fund's governing Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

Mr. Nurudeen’s appointment takes immediate effect, with the President requesting confirmation of his acceptance within 14 days.

The new role positions him to steer the Fund’s efforts toward impactful social development initiatives across the country.
