Mahama assembles national security team for transition

President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has named a six-member team to manage national security affairs during the transition period ahead of substantive appointments.

The team, led by Prosper Douglas Bani, a former Interior Minister, includes experienced security experts:

- Lt. General Peter Augustine Blay (Retired Chief of Defence Staff)

- Kofi Totobi Quakyi (Former National Security Minister)

- Larry Gbevlo-Lartey (Former National Security Coordinator)

- Brigadier General (Rtd) Fuseini Iddrissu

- COP (Rtd) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye


Set to commence on January 7, 2025, this initiative underscores Mahama’s commitment to a smooth transition and sustained national security stability.
