President John Mahama has announced a ban on first-class travel for government appointees, emphasizing modesty and prudent use of state resources.
Speaking at the swearing-in of ministers at Jubilee House on February 7, Mahama stated that his administration would prioritize respect for the Ghanaian people and responsible governance.
He disclosed that the Chief of Staff has been directed to formally notify ministers of an immediate ban on non-essential travel to cut government spending.
Essential trips must be approved and taken with modesty.
“There will be no room for arrogance or pomposity,” Mahama warned, stressing that public resources should not be wasted on luxury.
