President John Mahama has urged Ghana's international partners to support the Adwumawura Programme.
He spoke at the programme's launch in Kumasi. President Mahama highlighted that this initiative is a national priority. He stressed it requires global collaboration.
“The Adwumawura Programme embodies our collective ambition,” he said. It aims to tackle the national challenge of unemployment.
He invited partners to collaborate through the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP). This partnership can provide resources, expertise, and logistics for success.
The Adwumawura Programme focuses on helping young Ghanaians start and sustain businesses. It is a key government effort to reduce youth unemployment.
The initiative plans to assist 10,000 young Ghanaians aged 18 to 35 in their entrepreneurial journeys.
