Mahama commends businesses for slashing prices as cedi strengthens

President John Dramani Mahama praised Ghanaian businesses for lowering prices. This follows the recent strengthening of the cedi.

He spoke at the Ghana CEO Summit at Kempinski Hotel in Accra. He called this price reduction a welcome development. It helps ease financial burdens on ordinary Ghanaians.

“Let me commend those who have responded to the cedi’s appreciation,” he said. “By lowering prices, you are helping Ghanaians during tough times.”

He thanked the GPRTU for their efforts in this regard.

Mahama encouraged other businesses to adjust their prices as well. He emphasized that everyone should benefit from a stronger cedi.

“To those who have not yet responded, please pass on some gains,” he urged.
