Mahama committed to tackling youth unemployment – Amoakohene

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, spoke about youth unemployment. He reaffirmed President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to job creation.

During the Eid-ul-Adha celebration at the Kumasi Central Mosque, he shared key government strategies. He highlighted the National Apprenticeship Programme as a vital initiative.

This program aims to equip young people with practical skills. It also offers stipends to help with transportation and participation costs.

Dr. Amoakohene assured the Muslim community and Chief Imam of the government's support. He stated that provisions are available for youth wanting to learn various trades.

These trades include masonry, carpentry, and hairdressing through the National Apprenticeship Programme. The government will provide necessary tools and equipment for each trade.

Additionally, participants will receive a monthly stipend to support their training.
