Former President John Mahama has criticized the government's plan to hand over the unfinished Saglemi Housing Project to private developers without consulting the original landowners in Ningo-Prampram.

Mahama emphasized that the project, initiated by the NDC, involved securing land from the community, and any changes must include their input.

The project, meant to deliver 5,000 affordable homes, stalled after 1,506 units were partially completed.

The government plans to partner with private developers to finish and sell the units, sharing the proceeds.

Mahama vowed an NDC-led government would review the deal to protect local interests.
