President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to the Afram Plains. He plans to turn the region into a major agro-processing hub.
During the Kwahu Business Forum, he addressed comments about the Afram Plains. He expressed gratitude and highlighted efforts to boost the area's economy.
“I want to thank Nana for his comments about the Afram Plains,” he said. “We’ve labelled Afram Plains a special agro-processing zone, SAPZ.”
He mentioned that this vision aligns with an initiative from the African Development Bank. The government aims to secure significant funding for this project.
Mahama stressed that building necessary infrastructure is essential for success. “But to be able to do that, we must first put in the infrastructure,” he emphasized.
