Former Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Stephen Amoah has dismissed President Mahama’s claims that the Akufo-Addo administration mismanaged the economy.
He argued that Mahama may have been misled, as key economic indicators improved under the previous government.
Speaking on Eyewitness News, Amoah pointed to GDP growth rising from 3.4% in 2016 to 6.3% in 2024, alongside gains in agriculture, industry, and services.
He maintained that despite global economic hardships, Ghana's economy remained resilient.
Amoah challenged Mahama to present concrete data supporting his accusations, asserting that the Akufo-Addo administration steered the economy through crises without "criminal mismanagement."
He urged the public to critically assess the claims rather than accept them at face value.
