President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) programme, addressing its challenges and ensuring better educational outcomes.
Speaking during his *Thank You Tour* in the Central Region on Thursday, February 6, 2025, Mr. Mahama emphasized that education remains a top priority for his administration.
He outlined plans to secure dedicated funding for Free SHS and decentralize food procurement to improve efficiency in school operations.
“Education will remain a priority, and we will work to provide the best possible learning environment for our children at all levels,” he assured.
Mr. Mahama also announced a *‘no academic fees’* policy to provide financial aid for continuing students and committed to expanding tertiary education infrastructure to accommodate the growing student population.
“Additionally, we will introduce a ‘no academic fees’ policy offering financial aid to continuing students and expand infrastructure for tertiary institutions,” he added.
