President John Dramani Mahama praised Archbishop Charles Agyinasare. He called him a courageous spiritual leader who spoke truth to power. This was during the Supernatural Empowerment Summit 2025 in Accra.
Mr. Mahama described the Archbishop as a "lone voice." He stood firm when others remained silent during tough times in Ghana.
"The work of a man of God is not just to preach," Mr. Mahama said. He emphasized that God expects courage from spiritual leaders. Not many have that courage, he noted.
The president acknowledged the challenges the Archbishop faced for speaking out. His comments received applause from thousands in attendance, including political and faith leaders from over 45 countries.
The week-long summit featured high-profile figures like Dr. Satish Kumar, pastor of a large church, and members of Ghana's political elite.
Archbishop Agyinasare delivered a keynote sermon titled “The Divine Mandate for Increase.” He urged believers in ministry, business, and government to seek spiritual empowerment for national change.
He encouraged politicians to view their roles as divine responsibilities. Leaders should govern with wisdom and righteousness, he added.
The Archbishop also advised political leaders to rest when fatigued. This helps prevent poor decision-making during stressful times.
President Mahama found the message on “Managing the Anointing” particularly relevant. It highlighted the importance of rest and spiritual renewal for leaders.
Archbishop Agyinasare is known for his strong sermons on governance and morality. Mr. Mahama recognized this trait as deserving acknowledgment.
The summit marked a generational shift within Perez Chapel International. Rt Rev Raymond Kumah Acquah was inducted as the new Presiding Bishop. Rt Rev Dr Selaise Agyinasare, son of the Archbishop, became the new Administrative Bishop.
On the final night, representatives gathered on stage with their national flags. Archbishop Agyinasare led prayers for global peace and unity while draped in the Ghanaian flag.
As the summit concluded, delegates left Accra inspired to transform their communities. They echoed the Archbishop’s call for bold leadership across all sectors of society.
