Mahama praises Otumfuo's role in good governance, youth empowerment, and national development

President John Dramani Mahama praised Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He recognized the Asantehene's dedication to good governance and justice. Mahama called him a strong moral compass during challenging times.

The President spoke during a visit from the Otumfuo at Jubilee House on June 2. He noted the Asantehene’s bold actions during institutional failures. “Your commitment to good governance is well known,” he said.

Mahama highlighted the Asantehene’s influence beyond traditional leadership. He mentioned ongoing investments in education, health, and economic empowerment. These efforts build human capital and strengthen faith in traditional authorities.

The President expressed hope for continued collaboration with the Asantehene. His government aims for economic revitalization and job creation through a 24-hour economy initiative. “We will rely on your wise counsel,” he stated.
