Mahama releases first batch of District Chief Executive nominees

**Mahama Nominates District Chief Executives for Eight Regions**

President John Mahama has nominated new District Chief Executives. This is for eight out of Ghana's 16 regions.

The nominations aim to improve local governance and development. They follow Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution. They also comply with Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).

These appointments are part of the government's ongoing efforts. The goal is to strengthen local governance and accelerate development across the country.
