Mahama’s 100-day agric push lays foundation for food security – Gbande

Mustapha Gbande, Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, praised President John Dramani Mahama. He commended Mahama for bold steps in agriculture within 100 days of his administration.

Gbande spoke on Hot Issues on TV3 on April 20, 2025. He said the government's efforts are building a strong foundation to feed the country. Agriculture is becoming a key economic driver.

He mentioned that a solid foundation is being laid through poultry and other agricultural incentives. President Mahama emphasized mechanization during the program launch. The government plans to create agricultural service centers with budget allocations and imports.

Farmers will benefit from government incentives to boost agriculture. Gbande stressed that the Feed Ghana initiative is a structural commitment, not just a promise. It aims for job creation, food security, and economic stability.

He stated that the Feed Ghana program focuses on modernizing agriculture. This effort seeks to create jobs, reduce food inflation, and strengthen food security.
