IMANI Africa President Franklin Cudjoe has condemned President John Mahama’s dismissal of former IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, describing the removal letter as “cold” and lacking empathy.
Speaking on Channel One TV on March 15, Cudjoe expressed disappointment that the letter failed to acknowledge Dampare’s service or extend well wishes.
He likened the situation to the controversial removal of former Auditor-General Daniel Domelevo under Nana Akufo-Addo but noted that Domelevo’s dismissal, though criticized, at least came with an explanation.
Cudjoe urged the Mahama administration to adopt a more professional approach to governance transitions, emphasizing the need for respect and transparency in leadership changes.
