In a historic comeback, former President John Mahama is set to take the oath of office for a second time after winning Ghana’s December 7 elections.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader secured a landslide victory, signaling a new chapter in the country’s democratic history.
Mahama’s campaign, centered on economic recovery, job creation, healthcare improvements, infrastructure development, and anti-corruption, resonated deeply with voters.
In his victory speech, Mahama emphasized unity and healing, calling on all Ghanaians to work together for national progress.
"This victory is for the Ghanaian people, and together, we will build a stronger, more prosperous nation," he said.
With celebrations sweeping across the country, Mahama’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for today, January 7, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.
