Mahama submits deputy ministerial nominees to Parliament for approval

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 13 individuals for deputy ministerial positions, pending parliamentary approval.

The nominees, spanning various key ministries, include Thomas Nyarko Ampem (Finance), Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi (Interior), Ernest Brogya Genfi (Defence), Clement Abas Apaak (Education), and John Kofi Setor Dumelo (Food and Agriculture).

Other notable appointments include Justice Srem-Sai (Attorney General), Richard Gyan-Mensah (Energy & Green Transition), and Samson Ahi (Trade, Agribusiness & Industry).

Additionally, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba has been nominated as Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms.

These nominations reflect Mahama’s efforts to strengthen his administration with experienced and strategic leadership.

Parliament will now undertake a vetting process to confirm their appointments before they assume office.
