This decision follows the formation of a committee to investigate petitions against her.

It also followed consultations with the Council of State.
President Mahama referenced Article 146(6) of the Constitution. This article requires a committee to investigate allegations against a superior court judge if there is sufficient evidence.

- Justice Samuel Kwame Adibu-Asiedu – Supreme Court Justice
- Daniel Yaw Domelevo – Former Auditor-General
- Major Flora Bazwaanura Dalugo – Ghana Armed Forces
