President John Mahama has sworn in new members of the Ghana Armed Forces Council. This council oversees military operations and provides important advice.
The ceremony took place earlier today. The following individuals took their oaths of office:
- Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang (Vice President) – Chairperson
- Edward Kofi Omane Boamah – Member
- Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Member
- Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka – Member
- Mr. Daniel Addo – Member
- Mr. Fuseini Iddrisu – Member
- Ms. Nancy Dakwa Ampofo – Member
These newly sworn-in members will shape Ghana's military policy. They will also advise the government on national security matters.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will lead the council as Chairperson. She will make strategic decisions and address key military issues.
