Mahama to address nation on 120-day social contract milestones

President John Dramani Mahama will deliver a national address today. This address is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He will provide an update on his 120-day social contract with Ghanaians.

The governance pact officially ends today. It was launched to show measurable progress in his administration. President Mahama took office on January 7, 2025.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister for Government Communications, spoke to JoyNews' Maxwell Agbagba. He confirmed that the president has focused on the promises in the social contract.

“Substantial progress has been made,” he said. The update will cover infrastructure, healthcare, education reform, job creation, and anti-corruption efforts.

The 120-day contract aimed for accountable governance and transparency. It emphasized impact-driven leadership as well.
