Mahama to speak on his 120‑day social contract on 8th May

President John Dramani Mahama will give a special broadcast on Wednesday, May 7. He will update Ghanaians on his administration’s 120-day contract.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Government Communications, made the announcement. He invited citizens to tune in and evaluate the President’s performance.

“On Wednesday, the President will account for his stewardship over the last four months,” Mr. Kwakye Ofosu said during an interview on Citi FM on May 5. “I urge Ghanaians to listen and draw their own conclusions about his promises.”

The address will highlight key achievements from Mr. Mahama’s action plan. These include a leaner government structure to cut public spending.

Other highlights are the National Economic Dialogue and Education Dialogue. The President will also discuss the “Tree for Life” and “Blue Water” initiatives.

Additionally, he will talk about the “One Million Coders” program to boost digital skills and youth employment.

Mr. Kwakye Ofosu noted that Mr. Mahama would announce more initiatives as well. He will also provide updates on any outstanding commitments made by his administration.
