Mahama to unveil Code of Conduct for government appointees today

President John Mahama will introduce a strict Code of Conduct today. This is part of his administration’s 120-day Social Contract commitments.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister in Charge of Government Communications, announced this. He called the coming week a pivotal moment for government reform.

In a Facebook post on May 4, he explained the code was first introduced during the ministerial swearing-in ceremony. It aims to clarify ethical expectations for public office-holders.

Mr. Kwakye Ofosu stated that the new guidelines will outline the dos and don’ts of public service. This will eliminate ambiguity and reinforce integrity within the administration.

The Code of Conduct will be a cornerstone for accountability. It will guide appointees' behavior across all sectors of government.

“This week begins with unveiling a strict Code of Conduct,” said the Facebook post. It aims to regulate appointees' activities and ensure transparency and accountability in government.
