President John Mahama has pledged urgent intervention to address the plight of schoolchildren in Asuokow, Eastern Region, who risk their lives daily crossing a river to attend school.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, February 9, Mahama revealed that the affected community had been identified and immediate measures were underway to resolve the challenge.

He noted that Lower West Akim MP, Owen Kwame Frimpong, had already visited the area, with the Eastern Regional Minister set to follow.

Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to making education and healthcare more accessible under his Reset Ghana agenda, emphasizing his determination to remove barriers that hinder equitable opportunities for all citizens.
