Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga is mediating tensions between two officials.
Gomoa Central MP Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A Plus, is involved. Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine is the other party in this dispute.
In an interview on Citi Prime News, Ayariga shared his plans. He has scheduled a private meeting with A Plus today. He will also reach out to Dr. Ayine afterward.
Ayariga stated, “I will resolve it internally.” His intervention comes amid a public standoff between the two men.
The conflict began over a corruption allegation made by A Plus. He denied the claim and blamed it on a fake Twitter account impersonating him.
Dr. Ayine responded by asking A Plus to clarify his claims and provide evidence.
A Plus has since apologized for a strong Facebook post about Dr. Ayine’s press conference. However, tensions remain high between them.
Ayariga's mediation is seen as crucial for defusing the situation. This row has drawn widespread attention and raised concerns about political decorum and misinformation on social media.
