Dr. Rasheed Draman, Executive Director of the African Center for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), has raised concerns about the National Democratic Congress (NDC) majority in Parliament, describing it as weak.

Speaking on Starr Today, he compared the NDC’s approach to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), suggesting that the current minority is more assertive.

He noted that during the Eighth Parliament, the NDC lacked representation and remained passive.

Dr. Draman cited the NPP’s strong resistance in the Ablekuma North controversy, contrasting it with the NDC’s past inaction. He warned that despite their numbers, the NDC risks being outmaneuvered.

On the new Majority Leader, he stressed the need for balanced leadership to manage opposition pressures while maintaining government control.
